My Bio
Hello Folks! My name is Joshua. You can just call me Josh. I go by joshietakashima here on deviantArt.

You can probably tell I am a "Howl's Moving Castle" fan. I have read the book and watched the film. They're both really good in my opinion. LOL! Cosplay and Japanese Anime & Video Game Conventions are still kinda new for me since I only started going to them with friends in January of 2010.

I suppose art is my biggest fascination. I enjoy drawing & painting in my spare time. I’ve been drawing ever since I can remember. Photography among other things is also one of my biggest fascinations. I have a digital camera that I take with me practically everywhere I go.

I often spend time on my computer checking my email & researching various topics that I’m interested in at any given time. I’m often on Google, MySpace, Facebook, Beyond The Camera’s Lens (A Fatal Frame Website/Japanese Game Series), YouTube, GlobalForestWatch, MSN, Dictionary.com, Photobucket & so much more. Of coarse, deivantArt is one too!

I enjoy playing video games. Horror games are among my favorite video games to play although I have found a liking for more peaceful themed games as well. "Fatal Frame II Crimson Butterfly" is my favorite video game at the moment.

When I have the time & energy, I will sit down & write short stories. Many of which reflect from my own life. I journal as well to help me cope with daily struggles & concerns I have for myself & those I love & care about.

As far as color is concerned, I would have to say baby blue is my favorite color. The colors red, pink, blue, green are also among my favorites. Black is my favorite shade since black is not technically a color as I learned in Commercial Arts Class.

I love hugs, cuddling & most of all, my family & friends!!! I love a diverse range of friends. It keeps life interesting! I enjoy shopping at the mall & going to the movies with friends on the weekends. I enjoy going to the zoo/amusement parks too!

I love good food. Oriental food is among my favorite. Of coarse good old American food is good too although it is so diverse, I don't know where to start. LOL! I’m always excited to try exotic foreign foods. Not much of a spicy food type person but I will indeed try. Water Melon is my favorite fruit. Tomatoes are my favorite vegetable. However, some claim tomatoes are a fruit so if I must pick something else, it would have to be the potato.

I’m not much of a pop/soda or alcoholic drinker & I much prefer herbal tea, water, or natural fruit/vegetable juices over them. However, for weddings, New Years parties, birthdays & other occasions where pop/soda or alcohol is being served, I will perhaps take a drink. LOL!

I adore nature & forests are above all one of my favorite natural places. I could spend all day just admiring the various trees & listening to the birds & other animals go about doing what they do each day. I enjoy taking in a fresh breath of air & walking about through the woods in my local area.

I enjoy history & culture. My international travels to Canada, Australia, New Zealand, England, France, Belgium & the Netherlands (Holland) between 2005 and 2009 really opened my eyes to what a big & diverse world we truly live in. I would like to go to a non-European cultured country sometime though! He he!!!

My favorite history selections are of the civilizations of North & South America before European encroachment which consist of the Mississippian civilizations, Pueblo’s, the Mound Builder’s, Aztec’s, Toltec’s, Mayan’s, Omlec's, Moche, Inca & many others. I am also very fond of East Asian & European history. Most notably Japanese & Northern European history. However, all history & culture is interesting to me I suppose. The 60’s & 70’s Counterculture has recently been of particular interest for me as well as the 1920's with the flappers and minor cultural decadence experienced in the United States before the Great Depression.

I enjoy rollerblading, ice-skating, riding my bicycle & swimming among other things.

That pretty much describes me for now!

Take care!

COSPLAY PLANS 2014/2015!!! I have/ will be cosplaying as Wizard Howl Jenkins from Hayao Miyazaki's 2004 film "Howl's Moving Castle." I have only cosplayed as the blond variation of Wizard Howl Jenkins. I have received comments and/or request to cosplay as the black and red-haired variations of Wizard Howl Jenkins. This is all a work in progress…so perhaps you will see me in the future as a black-haired or red-haired Wizard Howl Jenkins. LOL! I have/ will also be cosplaying as Itsuki Tachibana (The White Haired Prison Boy) from Tecmo's 2003 & 2004 PlayStation II & Xbox video game "Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly". I cosplayed

Hey i thought id let you know finally finished that howl moving castle cosplay~ You're advice helped~
Fabulous! I just noticed you reside in Australia. Excellent country. I traveled there in 2008 (Queensland and New South Wales) as well as neighboring New Zealand (both North & South Island(s)). If I mentioned it before...sorry for the repeat. Beautiful place with the most interesting variety of marsupials. Your cosplay photos that I looked at turned out really well and I feel really good to know my advice helped another cosplayer such as yourself. We the cosplaying community are just one big happy family (most of the time...LOL!). Best wishes to the future cosplaying!!!
Thank you so much for the fave! Hope you are well :)
