Calcifer & Heen

Photo Taken On: September 8th, 2012 using a Canon EOS 60D Camera.

GENERAL INFORMATION: This is a cosplay photograph(s) of Wizard Howl Jenkins (dressed up by Josh Stockburger (myself)) and Sophie Hatter (dressed up by Kayla Cereghin) at Cambridge, Ohio's 2012 Midoricon Anime Convention which was held at the Salt Fork Lake State Park Lodge. We (Kayla and I) are residents of the American Midwest. Of course...you can't forget about Calcifer & Heen who are also photographed in most (not all) of these cosplay photograph(s).

It took Kayla (Sophie Hatter) and I (Wizard Howl) over five months in the Spring and Summers of 2010 to gather the materials needed for these cosplay photograph(s) to be possible. The jewelry pictured in these cosplay photographs of Wizard Howl (myself) and Sophie Hatter (Kayla) are the actual Studio Ghibli Museum merchandise jewels that are complimentary to the Studio Ghibli film "Howl's Moving Castle" (2004) by Hayeo Miyazaki and the book written by Diana Wynne Jones (1986).

These complimentary jewels were purchased through Google Checkout by an individual who resides in Japan. She goes by the name Rika and her website can easily be found by simply typing in LOVE GHIBLI on a variety of search engines through the internet. She was an excellent seller at the time we purchased the jewels from her. You can only get these jewels from the Studio Ghibli Museum in Japan (unless you make them yourselves or purchase a non-official set). For those of you who can't get to Japan anytime soon, EBay, Amazon and Google Checkout may be your only option, as it was for Kayla (Sophie Hatter) and myself (Wizard Howl). The price for these jewels weren’t friendly towards our budget at the time, but Kayla (Sophie Hatter) and I (Wizard Howl) wanted this cosplay project to be as authentic as possible.

All clothing seen in this photograph were primarily store bought or commissioned in the United States, Japan or China. Hope you like them. MIDORICON 2012!!!

NOTE: This photograph was taken by photographer Colleen Tappel of CTgraphy (as listed on the top of the description for this photo). GIVE PROPER CREDIT TO HER FOR THIS PHOTO!!! Myself (cosplaying as Wizard Howl) and Kayla (cosplaying as Sophie Hatter) are the models and the costumes consist of various store bought and acquired items over the past three years. Thanks!
